Two-Putt Drill

What Is It?

For golfers who play at a high level, three-putting must be virtually eliminated from your game in order to perform well in tournaments. This drill is a good pressure challenge that involves you having to two-putt consistently from a considerable distance.

Simply choose a few holes on a practice green and set up the pressure. There are many variations of this drill to ensure a great warmup or practice session.

Who Should Do It?

Anyone who wants to eliminate 3 putts.

If you are warming up before a round.

How Do You Do It?

  • Pick two holes about 30 to 40 feet apart from each other.
  • Putt from one hole to the other, being sure to finish out all of your putts.
  • Repeat until you have made 10 consecutive two-putts.
  • Add variations by increasing distance between the two holes you are putting from, putting back and forth along a slope where you have the opposite putt coming back.
